"Nice Work" Award Winners

Sports Awards has created a new program to reward outstanding effort from its team members: a monthly "Nice Work" Award.

Every month a new winner will be selected and they will receive a "Nice Work" Acrylic Award and Gift Certificate, plus their name will be added to our feature Plaque in the showroom. Sports Awards will also recognize an "honorable mention" recipient who will receive a Gift Certificate.

Our January 2013 winner is Christina, a member of our Production Team. Christina was recognized for taking initiative to exceed our customers' expectations by adding additional value to our products. Our January Honorable Mention is Adreanna, whose support of the Sales Team always makes Sports Awards look great!

Our February 2013 winner is our Shipping Supervisor Charles, who was recognized for his exceptional dedication to Quality Control during a very hectic production schedule. Our February Honorable Mention is Matt, our go-to guy in Customer Service who handles a great volume of art requests with accuracy and a superb attitude.

Jambalaya Eat-a-Thon

Sports Awards was proud to have co-sponsored the "Jambalaya Eat-a-Thon" on February 12th with Mariano's Fresh Market at their 5353 North Elston Avenue location.

Event proceeds benefit Common Threads, an organization dedicated to teaching children from low-income households the importance of healthy and good nutrition, and Children's Oncology Services, Inc., whose mission is to provide support, activities and fellowship for children stricken with cancer.

A special thanks to Mariano's for hosting the event and being a good neighbor — their effort to bring such events to our community makes it a better place!
